About TabGen.ai
Built by a guy who plays in too many bands and thought, "surely there's a better way."
Our Story
It started because someone (me) apparently can't say no to a gig. Three cover bands. Two churches. And I'm the guy people call when their bass player "has a thing that weekend." At any given moment I've got 40+ songs to learn, half of which one band plays in E but the other band plays in F because their singer "feels it better up there."
Meanwhile at church, we repeat the same songs every few weeks — but every vocalist wants them transposed into their range. So I'm re-learning the same song in three different keys. My ears are fine. My memory is... hit or miss.
By day I'm a web developer, so naturally I thought: "What if I could throw AI at this problem?" Separate the stems so I can hear the bass line. Remove the bass so I can play along. Auto-generate tabs so I don't have to trust some random internet stranger's interpretation of what the bass player was doing. And that's how TabGen.ai was born — out of laziness, desperation, and an unreasonable number of setlists.

The Team
We're all musicians on the side — which is a polite way of saying our day jobs pay the bills but our hearts are in the rehearsal room.
Musicians First
We built this because we needed it. Every feature exists because one of us was struggling to learn a song and thought "there has to be a faster way."
Always Improving
Our AI models get better every week. We're obsessed with making the tabs more accurate and the stems cleaner — mostly because we use this thing every day ourselves.
Built With Love
We love building apps and we love learning to play the songs we love to listen to. We hope TabGen.ai is as useful to you as it is for us — which is to say, embarrassingly essential.
